Leak test on new gas network at the Consorzio ASI of Brindisi.
For this test was used the air technique at 8 bar, using digital thermomanometer, related software and manograph recorder disk.
The test has been performed in 2 phases.
During the first step, the gas network was divided into several sections in order to perform leak tests for each section separately.
This choice was adopted in order to quickly identify any leaks and define the relative section.
Subsequently, once the tests on the single sections were completed, the general tightness test of the entire gas network was performed, using both the digital instrumentation and the manograph recorder disk.
Tests and leakage tests are fundamental to officially approve a new pipeline, as in the case of this intervention, but they are also compulsory to ascertain the compliance of pipelines (water, gas, sewer), tanks and cisterns with local, national and international regulations. They are also often required in the design phase.
