In order to improve the performance of the wastewater treatment inside the oxidation tanks, we proposed to our AQP client an innovative solution: the installation of plunger flow control valves for air flow regulation in place of existing wafer valves.
These types of valves, originally designed for water, if used for air are successful in implementing a much more precise flow control, optimizing at the same time the operation of the blowers. The result is an overall energy saving of the plant.
The six valves supplied have been previously dimensioned and configured based on the operating data (pressure and flow) received by the client. They were installed at the AQP wastewater treatment plant in Lecce, one for each oxidation tank.
